Standard features of the SciCam include a field replaceable large aperture shutter, high transmission camera window, internal frame buffer, USB2.0 connectivity, triple TEC cooling and ultra-fast download speed of upto 12 megapixels per second.

The SC08050 includs the Kodak KAI-08050 Interline Transfer CCD sensor with 3296x2472x5.5µ pixel. The fast videomode allows for integration during frame readout.

The SC08050 camera is without microlenses and without cover glass and includes a fused silica input window.
