USB3.2 Gen2 Interface

The SCM-E10 series from EHD imaging GmbH represents the latest generation of USB cameras, based on USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface technology with a theoretical maximum bandwidth of 10 Gb/s, approximately double that of standard USB 3.0. This high-bandwidth interface significantly reduces data transfer limitations and enables reliable high-frame-rate image acquisition for data-intensive imaging applications.

The cameras feature a USB Type-C interface, supporting reversible connection and improved mechanical robustness, while maintaining compatibility with standard USB host systems. The SCM-E10 series integrates high-performance Sony IMX CMOS sensors (IMX472, IMX383, IMX585), providing high quantum efficiency, low read noise, and wide dynamic range, which are critical for low-light and high-contrast imaging scenarios.

The cameras support 8-bit and 12-bit pixel formats, allowing users to balance data throughput and image fidelity according to application requirements. The architecture is optimized for both high-speed live preview and high-precision image acquisition, making the series suitable for demanding measurement and analysis tasks.

Typical application areas include high-speed and fluorescence microscopy, biomedical and life-science research, semiconductor and electronics inspection, industrial machine vision and quality control, and scientific and laboratory imaging systems requiring stable, high-throughput data transfer.
